Helping our employees attain home ownership is significant to realizing our mission which is to drive economic opportunities by empowering Indigenous people and communities.

Path to Home Ownership

Complete the Online Home Purchase Program and decide if home ownership is right for you
Enroll in an RRSP program with our banking partner or your own financial institution and start contributing
Start planning for your purchase by utilizing the available resources

Backwoods Down Payment Contribution

Backwoods will provide a one-time grossed up payment of 100% of the employees’ savings in their RRSP to a maximum of $10,000.

An additional incentive of $2,000 per year of employment to a maximum incentive of $10,000 will be provided.

Deciding whether you should obtain investment/financial advice and selecting who you go to for this advice
Selecting a RRSP program at the financial institution of your choice
Taking advantage of the information and tools to help you make investment decisions
