Backwoods Energy Services Announces Board Leadership Transition
Edmonton, Alberta – September 30, 2025– Backwoods Energy Services (“Backwoods”) today announced that Mr. Harvey Sheydwasser has resigned as Chair of the Board of Directors, effective September 30, 2025.
Mr. Sheydwasser brought strong passion and creativity to his role as Chair, consistently encouraging thoughtful discussion and new ideas. His commitment to contributing his perspective and energy to Backwoods’ strategic direction was valuable in guiding Backwoods through this period of change.
In conjunction with Mr. Sheydwasser’s departure, the Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Ian Anderson as Interim Chair of the Board, effective September 30, 2025. Mr. Anderson has faithfully and diligently served on the Board and the Finance and Risk Committee, bringing deep governance experience and a strong understanding of Backwoods’ operations, values, and long-term objectives.
